Kelowna Weather

You will often hear Kelowna described as a four-season paradise, as Canada’s Hawaii and Napa North. Kelowna residents take pride in their weather and the distinct four seasons that provide perfect weather for four-season vacationers.

Summer

Kelowna shines in the summer. Hot and dry temperatures provide plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities. Cool off in the lake and feel the breeze while participating in boating activities. Average summer temperatures are between 25 to 28 C.

Autumn

Summer stretches into autumn longer than most of Canada. Then as the days begin to cool and the leaves start to show their fall colours, the hiking and biking trails in the area mountains take centre stage for outdoor enthusiasts. This is an excellent season for golf and wine touring, while avoiding the summer crowds. October temperatures average about 14 C.

Winter

Kelowna boasts some of the mildest winters in all of Canada; however, we still see some snow, especially at our ski resorts: Big White,  Apex,  Silver Star. This is excellent news for those who enjoy skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. Most days in winter hover around 0 C.

Spring

Kelowna is glorious in the spring. The weather warms up, the patios fill up and the views brighten as the fruit trees blossom. Like autumn, this is an excellent season to golf and wine tour before the business of summer. By May, temperatures begin to hit 20 C.
