Frequently Asked Questions

Our office is located at 1668 Ellis Street, Unit 100, Kelowna, BC. Canada.  We are on the corner of Ellis Street & Leon Avenue (1 block off highway 97)

We are kitty corner to the TD Bank, directly opposite the RBC Bank and Tonics Pub. We are the 4th corner.

Access the office by using (One-Way) Leon Avenue via Pandosy Street heading South or Water street heading North off of Harvey Avenue (Hwy 97).

ALL check-ins are completed at the office.

  1. Please come here before attending the resort you booked.
  2. Phone ahead to check if your room is ready early or if you can fill in your forms and collect keys, park your vehicle and use resort amenities ahead of the gaining access to the suite.
  3. Please bring your vehicle details (plate, make, model), your government ID and your Credit Card.
  4. A $1K surety is taken at time of check in for ALL customers per suite booked.

Most suites have the Electronic – Schlage BE365  Lock. ( for Other locks: FAtco, Hormbill, EZY – please read further down in this section)

The key to gaining access to your suite is the personal dedicated key code given to you at time of check-in and on your check in Envelope and Documents.

  1. Although the Schlage lock used on most suites is electronic, it does have to be manually turned for Entry and Exit using the inner Key Knob.
  2. A second passage handle must also be turned to gain access after unlocking.
  3. If you have entered your code and the top light does not turn green and beep, it is most likely that you have entered the wrong keycode/sequence.
  4. A wrongly entered case you will get a red flash and 3 beeps. Please try again, but after 3 attempts the lock will be unusable for 1 minute.

If you have tried your code 3 times and it does NOT work please reach out to the office at 250-860-7368

If you enter the corect code turn the Key lock, and the lock just spins -(ie does not open up, but has flashed green), please call us immediately on the office or emergency number (778-436-8769) provided on your Check In documents, as it most likely means we need to put in a new battery.

To get in when this happens, please retry mulitple times (but still let us know)

HORNBILL Locks:

  1. UNLOCK: After your 4 digit PIN, please press the # key – the lock will automatically unlock.2. LOCK: Press and hold the # key for 2 full seconds or until you hear it beep, the lock will then automatically lock itself

 

 

 

 

Factco and EZYset Locks:

  1. UNLOCK: Put in your 4 digit pin and then push the Fatco/Lock Button at the top – the lock will automatically unlock.
  2. LOCK: Press the Fatco/Lock button – the lock will automatically lock itslef.

Air Conditoning not performing as expected?

Water has suddenly shut off?

TV is not showing a Picture? or Can’t Get On to the Internet (it stopped working)?

HairDryer in Bathroom Suddenly stops working? – probably just the GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) –

You can find this switch in one of the bathrooms as they are connected for electrical issues of this type.

Unplug any items connected to the switches 1st, then Push the RESET button in, on the plug socket to make it live again for both connected bathrooms.

Prior to Booking

All Guests should have their own uniquely tailored Insurance products for their travel and accommodation bookings.

Special Weather Events: Wildfires, Floods, Heat Domes, Highway Closures – These situations are becoming all to prevalent as each vacation season passes. Our basic booking and refund policy is such that: If, we are open here in Kelowna and there is a travel option available to get here (it may not be your preferred route) and the resort you have booked is open, then we expect you to honor your booking as we do when you gave us your deposit.

We run all our rentals on behalf of  the Owners of that suite and they along with us have planned for the accommodation to be rented and paid for in full.

Guest Numbers: Please book the number of Adults/Children you will have staying in each of the beds per bedrooms/dens as described in each suites advertisement up to the limits shown.

You may wish to have an extra guest on a Sofa Bed (we cannot guarantee their comfort levels) at no additional cost, but the total amount of guests cannot exceed the number registered at the time of booking OR increased at the time of Check-in. We would hope you only have them staying for a night or 2 on selected dates. You do NOT have to put this in the online form to secure the suite you have decided upon.  We can only advertise for Max Beds capacity due to City of Kelowna Short-Term Rental Rules; Strata Rules & Bylaws.

Event Planning:  DKRA are committed to offering relaxing friendly and family orientated suites where we operate. We encourage those coming to play golf, bringing the family, coming as a couple or as a group of couples to definitely stay with us, knowing that we enforce nuisance bylaws so that your stay with us is enjoyable. Due to operating in residential locations covered by Strata Rules, Regulations & Bylaws we encourage those booking to allow for all single adults to have their own bed and as such cannot guarantee acceptance for Party Type events such as Stag or Stagettes, Birthdays, etc. Mulitple suites are definitley an option – but you must look at the resort as a place to relax , enjoy and sleep and take your partying down the road and not bring it back with you.

PETS: ONLY with prior permission in writing from DKRA: We can only accept up to one small breed dog in Predefined/Selected suites – please call in prior to booking so as to not be disappointed. Size, Weight and Breed limits apply, and all dogs must be under 15 inches in height and or 28 lbs in weight. We would love them all to be able to come with you, but a pet resort may be the best option so as not to be disappointed. We allow per Canadian law, all registered Guide Dogs for the blind teams or Service dogs with accompanying training certification and appropriate doctors certificate. Unfortunately, therapy dogs do not qualify at this time.

Due to the allergic conditions of our guests, staff and owners, we cannot accept any booking with pets other than smaller breed dogs – cats cannot be accommodated even if in pet carriers.

These pet stipulations also apply to your guests, friends, family that may wish to visit you at your resort.

IN SUITE:

We have included limited basic items to “get you going” this includes coffee, tissues, and other paper products, for a couple of days ONLY. There are Nearby Supermarkets for all extended stays product requirements. We do this to keep our costs as low as possible

Washing Pods are usually stored in a regular red Solo Cup on top of the washing machine/dryer or in the laundry closet/cabinet.

Dishwashing Tabs: Provided for you under the kitchen sink.

Toilet Paper: Extra Rolls to be found in the bathroom vanity cupboards along with at least 1 hair dryer per suite (there are 2 bathrooms in most suites)

Paper Towel: 1 roll provided on Kitchen Counter. Facial Tissue Provided – at least 1 box per suite.

Resort Amenities: All resort amenities are provided for the strict use of the registered guests ONLY for each suite being rented. Please note that we do not allow your guest(s) to use resort amenities. We are happy for you to have people over to relax with during the day or before your night out, but no overnighters (unless pre-registered) please. Your guests’ actions become your actions in case of strata issues, negligence or damage incurred throughout your rental period whilst on or in resort property.

Booking & Cancellation Policies

TO BOOK, we require:
 a 30%  deposit  of total booking using Credit Card – VISA / Mastercard (preferred).
remaining 70%  deposit taken 60 days prior to arrival using original CC details on file.

Suites Cancellation Policy:
24hrs FREE cancellation after initial booking but only if booked direct with DKRA online or via telephone.
Cancelling with 60 days or more notification will incur $200+GST cancellation fee PER SUITE booked.
Cancellations between 30-60 days out will be subject to a fee of 30% of the total reservation cost.
Cancellations within 30 days are 100% NON refundable (per suite booked).

Extended Summer Stays Policy:
1st month paid prior to reservation confirmation or up to 50% of total booking (applicable by DKRA)
Cancelling with 60 days or more notification will incur $200+GST cancellation fee PER SUITE booked.
Cancellations less than 60 days out are 100% Non Refundable.
a 1 time Cleaning fee will be charged for all suites booked
Security Deposit amount is set at $2000 (per suite booked)
Cleaning fee does not absolve you from leaving the suite as you found it, neat, tidy and in a good standard (security deposit will be used for excesive cleaning).

Winter Rental: Extended Term Guest Reservations Policy:
1st months rent is applicable at time of booking  – per suite booked.
Cancelling 60 days or more notification will incur $200+GST cancellation fee PER SUITE booked.
Cancellations less than 60 days out will incur 100% loss of the 1st months guest rental fees.
$1500 Security Deposit is required prior to check in for ALL winter Stays.
1 time Cleaning fee will be charged (arranged laundry service may be available – check at time for pricing).
Cleaning fee does not absolve you from leaving the suite as you found it, neat, tidy and in a good standard (security deposit will be used for excesive cleaning).
Minimum rental period of 4 months to get discounted advertised prices.

 

All other cancellations (boat slips/extra parking/etc.) stalls are NON refundable after 24hrs of initial booking.
